LIFE AND PEOPLE

I have encountered some extremely disturbing situations from past experiences, and quite recently on social media, and  I am terribly sad to know that there are so many of us lost, helpless, sore and tired of living. It’s difficult to sum everything up in a few words, but we do live in a society that isn't uncommonly friendly and doesn't truly care for anyone. We start to get depressed when we get disappointed by our friends or those we think were our friends. We get angry at being ridiculed and ignored. I know how frustrating it can be. I have felt the emptiness, and I have been lost several times. BUT, I can guarantee you, there's so much more to life. I have been reading some motivational and inspirational books, and I must say it has been tremendously helpful.

I will give you some words that I hope can help. They have helped me and are still helping me. Even though, you might think it's all pretend, know this. We usually don't like what we don't understand. And we don't understand life, we don't understand people, we don't understand the system, we don't know God. Life is not fair. Everyone knows that, but we keep dwelling on the contrary and that has been my experience for the most part of my life. I am beginning to see a purpose and an opportunity to choose what I make of my own life. At the end of the day I am accountable to myself and that is enough reason to make me adjust my thoughts to a more positive one.

I suggest to you to start living a different life. Learn to appreciate and to learn about things in order for you to learn. Don't go the conventional way; it's all lies at least from my point of view. Laws, media and mainstream ideologies.

Learn to love your self, have confidence in your self. To do that, you need to know you are good and capable of anything you want to do. Do you believe that? Anything you wish. It's not a law. You won't get it simply because you are living. You don't get a harvest because you want a harvest. If you plant you will reap, Not if you want you will reap; again if you plant you will reap. If success didn't have a price, everyone would be a success. You have to be willing to take chances, and I am doing that now.

Great places to gather more Knowledge:

Rags to Riches
Rich Dad, Poor Dad
Think and Grow Rich
The Magic of thinking big

These books are about: how people are. The different types of people there are and their mindsets and the manner in which our individual brains work, etc. When you learn new things, your brain opens up. You don't have to be the same person today as you were yesterday. Human beings are the only ones that have this capacity to choose what they want to do with their lives. Every other person just follows the natural flow of life. I know it's hard. It's hard to stay in this world. Every one faces one problem  or another  but trust me not everyone comes out of it alive or in ‘’one piece’’, and not everyone has the courage to take the harsh realities of life.

Here's one of Jim Rohn's teachings:

Every and each one of us is in a sailboat.
The wind blows on us all.
The wind of opportunity, the wind of disaster, the wind of change, the wind when it's favorable and unfavorable.
The wind blows on us all.
The difference in arrival isn't the blowing of the wind, but the set of the sail.
If the wind of disaster will hit every one of us. If the change will take part in every life. If there will be opportunities and moments that are favorable and unfavorable for Every one of us, then it isn't the blowing of the wind that will determine where we arrive in life; it’s the set of the sail.

It's not what happens that determines our life's destiny, but the way we respond as a result of what has happened. We have the opportunity to be much more than what we are today.

MY OPINION ON ''THE DOOMS'' DAY APOCALYPSE

I have observed today, people have gone about their business like they never heard of the fiery Armageddon that was supposed to happen today. In Ghana where the media is much focused on political issues like our recent elections. It’s difficult to find any news article on such an issue. The best you can find is mainly on the social networks. The sun has shone it's Ray's on us without a dent of discomfort, so we have every right to crawl out of our ‘fear shells’ and experience our lives like we always do.

There have been stories circulating on the internet about what will happen. And this brings into perspective on what religion tells us about the end of the world. Have we seen all the signs yet? What the Mayans told us even though nothing unusual happened today. What science tells us and the correlation it has to all the various theories and interpretations that surround the mystery of the day 21-12-12.

Three days earlier. I asked a friend what he thought of the dooms day apocalypse, To which he answered I have nothing to lose if it happens. He said, I don’t have a mansion, cars or monies or stocks saved in a bank somewhere so if anything happens, I don’t have anything to lose, And went further to say. It’s the rich who are afraid of losing their wealth, so he certainly doesn’t care.

Well in my opinion, I am not afraid of the world coming to an end in 2012 and for that matter any other year. I am only afraid of our ignorance and complacency not coming to an end.

The world ends for people who die each and every day but evolves around the living. It’s nothing new to the human phenomena.my Main concern is, the world will continue changing without any significant progress. The world will always vary  in different ways, and each day brings a new experience, but we never use it in the positive aspects of life. Talk of the Environment, the Economy, Politics and  Media.

I don’t expect a change in the alignment of the galactic elements to change my life. I look at it differently without the routine life plan, given that the world ends by midnight on 21st December, 2012.

Fact is all the expectations and predictions we have given this day is not so much significant knowing the world will terminate regardless if we know about it. The most crucial thing we need to learn about 21st December 2012 is to focus on our own changes to make the world a better place and not just for one day.

ERA OF LIES AND TECHNOLOGY!!!!

Looking at how technology has enhanced our way of life in every sector of the economy. I can confidently say it has become an important part of our society. Technology has accelerated, enriched and deepened our basic skills and it has become the status quo in a rapidly developing society such as ours.

Computers are becoming more affordable and are depended upon by many people to aid them in their daily lives. Mobile phones and handheld devices are seeing a big push in the market.

Indeed we have derived great benefits from its usage. Talk of Social, Economic, Telecommunication, Transportation and industrialization all has helped in pushing for today's information-based society.
At this point I would like to gear into a particular issue I find amusing and disturbing at the same time. It’s the issue of lies and the blatant disregard of how we tell it.we lie almost everywhere and with the advent of technology.it has become easier to make mockery of people through these mobile devices.

Imagine yourself in a vehicle bound for a particular destination, and suddenly someone receives a phone call and you overheard them saying, “I am at home sleeping/I am on a flight to South Africa/I am at the mall with Akosua. I guess you may feel disgusted and at the same time guilty but because your conscience pricks you for doing something similar, you brush it off.
Also imagine you just read the status of a friend on Facebook and it says "lunch at Movenpick Hotel" and you go like wow. My friend must be enjoying life. Meanwhile they are on their bed sleeping or going about their daily business without a hint of the location they just updated.
Voice call is the worst culprit of the "universal lying tool" and everyone is trying to take advantage of it. But hey life still goes on and if you come across someone lying on the phone. Don’t get apprehensive or judgmental because you are equally guilty. There is no saint in the land of technological deception. We are all a part of it. Lying on phone is one of the most common things done today and technology has worsened it.
These days, there are various handheld and mobile devices in the market which has further enhanced the communication process. We can do virtually everything with these devices. Their features give the users the ability to manipulate their location, voice, image and a host of other things.

When it comes to telling lies I wonder if some people were born that way or it is just a virtue of great talent. Each one of us has, at some point, lied to somebody about something and we always justify it .sometimes it comes with an uncomfortable feeling when you are a first timer. But for those who have mastered the art. They quickly brush aside those feelings.
